Who was Jeffrey Dahmer?
The Milwaukee Cannibal or the Milwaukee Monster, Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer (May 21, 1960 – November 28, 1994), was an American serial killer and sex offender who murdered and severed the bodies of seventeen men between 1978 and 1991. His later killings frequently entailed cannibalism, necrophilia, and the permanent retention of body parts, usually the entire or a portion of the skeleton.
Dahmer was ruled to be legally sane during his trial despite having been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder (BPD), schizotypal personality disorder (StPD), and a psychotic disorder.
He was sentenced to fifteen terms of life imprisonment on February 17, 1992, after being found guilty of fifteen of the sixteen homicides he had committed in Wisconsin. Later, for a second murder committed in Ohio in 1978, Dahmer was given a sixteenth life sentence.

Early Life of Jeffrey Dahmer:-
On May 21, 1960, Jeffrey Dahmer was born in West Allis, Wisconsin. By all accounts, Jeffrey Dahmer’s childhood was characterised and viewed as normal; yet, by the time he was 15, Dahmer had become more reclusive and socially aloof.
Young Dahmer would avoid engaging in typical children pursuits in favour of riding his bike through his neighbourhood in search of dead animals that he could dissect at home. When Jeffrey Dahmer entered high school, he was a raging alcoholic and was diagnosed as having severe depression.
Jeffrey Dahmer abruptly dropped out of Ohio State University and was persuaded to enlist by his father. Despite initially thriving in the structured, disciplined environment of the military, Jeffrey Dahmer was released from duty after two years due to drinking.
After being detained for disorderly conduct and public intoxication in 1982, Jeffrey Dahmer relocated to West Allis and lived with his grandmother. At this point, Dahmer’s behaviour started to get increasingly strange; his grandmother frequently discovered weapons in his room, and in 1982 and 1986, Dahmer was imprisoned twice for indecent exposure.

From Sexual Offender to Serial Killer: Jeffrey Dahmer
Jeffrey Dahmer waited nine years for his second victim. In September 1987, he killed Steven Tuomi, who was his second victim. Dahmer picked him up from the bar, and they checked into a motel where Dahmer drugged Steven and said under questioning that he had no memory of killing Steven.
He had a hard time keeping his demons under control after the 1987 murder. With two victims in 1988, one in 1989, and four in 1990, Dahmer’s murdering spree picked up speed over those years.
After the victims were killed, he bleached their heads and genitalia, meticulously stored them, and occasionally consumed them.
After relocating into his new flat, Dahmer enticed a 13-year-old boy back to his previous one by paying him $50 to pose for photos while completely naked.
Fortunately, the child managed to escape, and Jeffrey was taken into custody the following day for drugging and abusing a minor. About 4 months later, he was found guilty of second-degree sexual assault. He was made to move back into his grandmother’s flat because the sentencing for this crime was postponed until May.
Arrest of Jeffrey Dahmer:-
On July 22, 1991, Jeffrey Dahmer enticed Tracy Edwards into his Milwaukee apartment as a possible victim. According to the potential victim’s testimony, Dahmer found it difficult to control Edwards. Edwards was forced into the restroom by Dahmer, who was holding a huge butcher knife.
There, the potential victim saw images of dismembered carcasses and noticed foul scents coming from barrels that were scattered over the room. In a fit of rage, Edwards kicked Jeffrey Dahmer in the stomach before running into the street and signalling for a police vehicle.
Upon returning the officers to Dahmer’s flat, Edwards conducted a search that turned up horrifying evidence of murder and Torture. In Dahmer’s refrigerator and throughout his flat, they were severed heads, images of the dead, and human bones.
Death of Jeffrey Dahmer:-
After a two-week trial, the court declared Jeffrey Dahmer sane and guilty on all 15 of the murder charges against him, which had later been lowered from the original 17 to 15. Due to the brutality and repeated nature of his murders, Jeffrey Dahmer received 15 life sentences, totaling 957 years in jail.
Dahmer was sent to Ohio after his extradition, where he later proclaimed himself a born-again Christian.
Because of the brutality of his crimes, other prisoners attacked Dahmer. Christoper Scarver, a fellow prisoner, severely assaulted Dahmer and another inmate with a broom handle while they were doing janitorial work on November 28, 1994. On his route to the medical room, Dahmer suffers a severe head injury and passes away; his brain was removed for analysis.
